Group violin classes are a great way to develop your skills on the instrument. From beginners to school orchestra students, everyone is welcome!
| Every Saturday from 1:00pm - 2:00pm |
Elementary and Middle School aged students play and learn in groups of 4-10 persons. Group lessons reduce cost and increase learning time. Major benefits of group lessons include; better rhythm ability than typical private lesson students, ability to hear parts in music, and increased social skills. Learning if focused on fun, performance and standard music theory.
Class time is divided into three parts: individual practice, group practice, games and theory lessons. Students spend time in individual practice using a digital keyboard equipped with headphones or acoustic guitar. Instructors lead group practice times to emphasize rhythm, ear training and social skills. Finally, students spend some time away from their instrument doing worksheets and participating in interactive theory exercises and music games.
Individual student progress is monitored with a written plan. Students progress at the rate they learn even though they are part of a group. Each class has a mix of levels.
