Winter Camp Description

A fun piano winter camp experience includes a series of private lessons, extensive daily practice, classes in music theory, history, sight reading, rhythm, ear training, master classes, solo performance recording, participation in ensembles, duo, trios, and quartets.

Classes are highly interactive with extensive hands-on time with instruments. Children have lots of fun performing, practicing with each other, playing educational games, exploring history and theory, as they build a strong music foundation. There are plenty of breaks, movement and physical activity! Rule number one is to have fun!

Each camper is individually assessed at the start of camp. As camp progresses they are individually and collectively challenged in positive, engaging and fun ways to build knowledge, skill, problem solving abilities, reinforce positive character traits, and improve mastery of their instrument.

About the Instructors

Main Stem Music is a family owned and operated business. We have been performing music professionally, touring, teaching private lessons for nine years and group lessons for six years. The past three year we have operated a very popular after-school music program in the Bellevue, Issaquah, Lake Washington and Northshore school districts as well as several private schools.
